Interior trim is crap, maybe the reason why the company went out of business. Little by little the thing is falling apart. Far away from home and it took the dealer in Minnesota 5 days to get back to me. Fixed that up and it ran good for 3 years until the trans let go.ġ998 Dodge Conversion Van 5.2L V8, second vehicle I bought brand new, had bad luck since the start. It was a good transportation car but I had to let go b/c I couldn't afford the payments.ġ985 Chevy Caprice Wagon 5.0L V8, bought for dirt cheap b/c the heater core was shot. Car only lasted a few more months after that.ġ993 Chevy Cavalier 4 banger, first car I bought brand new, no options, fastest 4 banger in the south burbs of Chicago. This was also the last time I drank and drove b/c I did a dukes of hazzard of an expressway ramp and messed it up good.
Had a freeze plug blow and that cracked the heads. It was much more reliable and faster than the Stang. Sold b/c I couldn't afford the insurance on 2 vehicles.ġ984 Thunderbird 3.8L V6, bought while I owned the Stang. I also swapped to a Cobra hood and louvers to the rear hatch. This was the first car I had that I had long enough to work on, did all the repairs myself or w/ the help of friends.
This car started my auto obsession.ġ976 Pontiac Sunbird, 4 banger, the car was great for transportation, didn't have that, long 3 months, a guy fell asleep at the wheel in a 78 Lincoln an totalled the car in front of my house.ġ980 Mustang, 4 banger, this is when I started racing cars, had to replace the trans twice, went through 3 clutched b/c I busted 3 motor mounts, rear end replaced once. Since I was dumb about cars I never knew you had to change the oil and I locked up the engine. I drove it on three wheels from the passenger seat to the junk yard.ġ977 Pontiac Firebird Espirit, 403 ci, fast for it's time, heater worked almost the instant the car was turned on, didn't have it for long, 3 months. The fire wall moved over about 16 inches and the frame bent up. I loaned the car to my sister one night, and the heft of this beast saved her life when she was hit on the side by a car traveling at 45 MPH that blew a stop sign. It was in mint condition, ran really well, what a tank. This was the car my father gave me in early 1988 when I first got my license. Disaster!ġ975 Pontiac Grand Prix 454 cubic inch 4 barrel. Could never keep everything in this car working at the same time. He hated the car six months after he got it, and I found out why. Left me singing the blues.ġ985 Buick Park Avenue Ultra (Piece of SH!!): Bought this off of my father in 1988. Truck was never maintenanced properly, cost me alot of money in repairs, sold it that same year for less than a song. Ran to 196,000 miles before it died, never replaced the transmission.ġ993 Ford Explorer XLT Green: Bought it off of my sister in 2003 for a song. Love that thing!ġ993 Ford Probe GT Blue: Bought it new, Died at 212,000 miles Drove great all the time I had it, replaced the transmission once.ġ989 Ford Taurus Maroon: Inherited it after my grandmother passed away in 1989, only had 6,000 miles on it. To this day, still the fastest car, and most fun car I have ever driven. Stored it correctly, been in a garage under a blanket for 12 years. In 1993 put it up on blocks when I purchased the car below, Still in Mint condition. OK, here goes:Ģ006 - Ford 500 AWD Limited Black on Black: Bought it new, GREAT SO FAR.Ģ003 - Mercedes Benz C230 Kompressor Sedan Silver on Black: Bought it new, Great looking, runs great, no problems, suprisingly fast, sticks like glue on dry pavement, 32+ Miles per gallon, and, useless in the winter.ġ989 - Mustang GT Cherry Red, Mint condition, the first car I ever bought new. I thought this might be a fun topic, what automobiles do you own, and what automobiles have you owned, with your opinion of each.
